Technical Writer / Analyst

Boutique law firm seeking individuals with a background in technical writing to join our offices in Miami and Orlando. We are a corporate law firm specializing in securities finance serving Wall Street clients. 

As a Technical Writer / Analyst, you will work with complex financial contracts used by investment banks and hedge funds. Your primary responsibility will be to analyze, summarize, and clearly document contract terms in a precise, consistent, and well-structured manner, following established internal protocols. The role requires strong attention to detail, excellent command of written English, and the ability to learn highly technical material. 

No prior experience in law or finance is required. We provide extensive training. A demonstrated interest in technical writing, documentation, law, finance, or complex systems is a plus. 

This is an entry-level position offering meaningful industry exposure and long-term skill development for careers in technical writing, corporate law, finance, or related fields. We seek candidates able to make a 2–3 year commitment. Due to our Wall Street client base, hours can be long (10–12-hour days) and occasionally unpredictable.


Who we are: Harry Jho LLC is the leading law firm in the securities finance industry. We have 30 - 50 employees, and a management team with a combined 80+ years of experience in this industry. We work for global financial institutions and hedge funds.

Our mission: To support and maintain this critical piece of global financial infrastructure, allowing the safe and efficient function of markets to transfer risks to those best able to bear them. It’s not prestigious work, but it’s essential.

Requirements:

  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking ability
  • Detail-oriented with strong proofreading and editing skills
  • Clear and concise writing; Strong grasp of English grammar

Compensation:

  • $25 per hour + overtime ($37.50 per hour); Health, Dental, Vision, 401K

  • Hybrid office. Candidates must be based in the Miami or Orlando area and be available to work on-site at our offices at least 3x/week.
