Social Media Admin Intern II
The Department of Recreation and Parks (RAP) at the City of Los Angeles is seeking a part-time Admin Intern II in the Quimby and Special Projects Group in the Planning Division. Part-time Admin Intern II will be responsible for the creation of educational content about the RAP Planning Division and Quimby program on various social media platforms.
Description of Duties:
- Development of a social media plan, strategies, and content to educate the public about the RAP Planning Division and Quimby Program and projects funded by the program
- Creation of social media posts templates and video content that are consistent that are consistent with RAP’s existing logo/branding guidelines
- Management of social media calendar and posts for various social media platforms
- Visiting RAP parks as necessary in order to create content
- Collaboration with the RAP Public Relations section as necessary
- Tracking of impressions, interactions, and engagements across platforms
- Other miscellaneous duties as necessary
Available Hours:
- Up to 20 hours per week based on schedule and shift availability and the employee’s availability and ability – there is no minimum guarantee of the number of hours worked. Hours will vary.
- May require to work in-office in order for content creation

Qualifications:
- Experience in content creation and management of nonpersonal social media platforms
- Experience with Gipper and Canva
- Ability and experience with office machines including computers, various software, photocopiers and related equipment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with professional presentation
- Excellent customer service skills and a desire to work with the public
