As we prepare for launch and growth, we’re looking for a thoughtful, sharp Copywriter / Content Writer to work on Shmoozer’s copy across content and marketing.

Role Overview

We’re looking for a Copywriter / Content Writer to help us write clear, fun and human copy across our marketing and product content. This role focuses on short-form, social-first writing that explains what Shmoozer is, how it works, and why it matters.

This is a part-time role with strong potential to grow into a full-time position as the company scales.

What You’ll Do

Write copy for Instagram posts, reels, stories, and captions

Contribute to a structured content library for recurring formats and series

Write brand explainers (what Shmoozer is, how it works, why it matters)

Adapt tone across formats: emotional, informational, promotional—always on brand

Collaborate with designers and video editors to ensure copy aligns with visuals and pacing

Iterate on copy based on feedback, testing, and performance learnings

What We’re Looking For

Strong writing skills with a clear, modern, human tone

Interest in branding, storytelling, social media, and human connection

Ability to write concise, impactful copy

Comfortable working from briefs and content frameworks

Reliable, proactive, and open to feedback

Previous copywriting, marketing, journalism, or creative writing experience is a plus

Bonus If You

Have written for startups, apps, or consumer brands

Understand social-first writing (hooks, clarity, rhythm)
