AUDIO OPERATOR 

THE MAGIC OF ROB LAKE: LIVE FROM BROADWAY is seeking a skilled and dependable Audio Operator for upcoming 2026 touring and special engagements.

This role is responsible for operating and maintaining live sound systems for a large-scale theatrical production, ensuring consistent audio quality across venues. The Audio Operator works closely with stage management and production to support performances, rehearsals, and technical setups.

 

Responsibilities

  • Operate audio consoles during performances
  • Set up and strike sound systems
  • Manage microphones, playback, and effects
  • Monitor and adjust audio levels live
  • Troubleshoot technical issues
  • Coordinate with venue audio staff
  • Maintain audio equipment and cabling

 

Qualifications

  • Training or experience in live sound or theatrical audio
  • Familiarity with digital audio consoles and sound systems
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work under show conditions
  • Touring or large-production experience preferred
  • Reliable and detail-oriented

 

Tour & Travel

  • Domestic and international touring
  • Extended engagements and residency opportunities possible
  • Travel, housing, and per diem provided

 

Compensation

  • Compensation is based on experience and engagement type and may be structured as a day rate, weekly guarantee, or hourly rate.
  • Paid rehearsals and performances.
