Event Marketing Associate
The Event Marketing & Partnership Services Associate will be responsible for a variety of tasks within both departments. These include but are not limited to managing and assisting with media, grassroots marketing, creative requests, planning & implementing special programming, partner relationships, etc.
Event Marketing Responsibilities
- Assist with management of radio promotions, including providing promotional assets, requesting tickets, scheduling interviews, etc.
- Establish, maintain, and grow relationships with advertising and media partners
- Assist in managing Grassroots events, including selecting events, scheduling staff, and attending events
- Manage creative requests for a variety of Marketing initiatives
- Work with Consumer, Group, and Corporate Sales teams to assist with determining and implementing Marketing strategy
- Provide support for Kids VIP Experience program during race weekend
- Other duties as assigned within the Marketing department, and to assist with other departments as needed
Partnership Services Responsibilities
- Assist in managing a minority of hospitality accounts during major events
- Pre-event planning and day of execution of the STEM Day Program
- Manage details of client communication pieces, including hospitality guides, letters, menus, etc.
- Provide support to the Hospitality team as needed
- Support all aspects of the fulfillment process including inventory layouts and contract management
- Attend pre/post event site walkthroughs & planning meetings
- Assist with special projects as assigned
Education & Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing or Sports Management.
Other Skills & Abilities:
Minimum 18 years of age.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
A strong work ethic and willingness to learn and understand NASCAR brand requirements and protocols, as well as sales systems, databases, and partnership management/activation.
A team player who is committed to the success of the events.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in multiple computer programs (Adobe, Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel, etc.).
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Willingness to learn and maintain a positive attitude.
Desire to engage with fans and oversee data cultivation at offsite events.
Ability to lift over 50 lbs.
Proficient on Company-provided hardware and software.
Ability to work outdoors in changing weather conditions for extended periods.
Reliable transportation to and from the track location.
