Role Description
This is a part-time remote role for a Marketing Assistant located anywhere within the United States (with a preference for those in Indiana). As mentioned in the company description, I am a solo agent, so I am looking for someone who can begin true marketing efforts. The Marketing Assistant will be responsible for creating and managing social media accounts to gather clients as well as reaching out to potential clients and/or partners.
This position is noted as temporary, but if both sides wish to continue working together, then that is an option. The idea is to see how much growth is made in the first 6 months- a year.
This is not a W2 employment opportunity - I will provide a 1099 at the end of the year for your freelance tax purposes. This position is entirely COMMISSION BASED (which is also how I am paid). For those unfamiliar with the travel agent industry, here is how the payments work (example values):
- Client has a total trip cost of 1000
- The company gives an overall commission of $200
- A percentage of the $200 goes to the head agency
- The amount remaining from the $200 is "profit"
I am offering 20-30% of the remaining amount to the Marketing Assistant for all gathered clients.
Qualifications
- STUDENTS OF ALL YEARS WELCOME
- Degree is not required, but someone who is studying marketing or a relevant subject and/or has marketing experience is preferred. It is completely fine if this is your first "real" experience.
- Comfortable with social media
- Creative with the ability to comfortably make decisions without constant input
- Able to work remotely
