Medical Assistant
We are a primary care medical practice seeking Medical Assistants to become part of our office family in Inverness and/or Lecanto. We are looking for people who are kind, cheerful, detail-oriented and enjoy being part of a good working environment.
The day-to-day tasks include, but are not limited to:
- Face-to-Face interaction with patients
- Answering and making phone calls to patients, facilities, pharmacies and medical companies
- Responding to requests for and making orders for medications, DME, etc.
- Chart prep
- Pulling medical records from hospital, lab and imaging portals
- Obtaining records from other doctor's offices
- Triaging patients
- Filling out paperwork for patients
- Testing such as urinalysis, strep and flu testing, drug screenings
- Taking inventory of medical supplies
- Putting in requests for and completing Prior Authorizations
