Internship Overview

The MBA Summer Intern will work directly with GTM Capital’s Founding Partner and investment team across all phases of the venture investing lifecycle. This is a hands-on, remote internship designed for candidates seeking deep exposure to early-stage venture capital, enterprise technology, and startup evaluation.

Interns will gain experience in deal sourcing, market analysis, due diligence, financial modeling, and portfolio support, while interacting with founders, senior enterprise executives, and investors. Strong performance may lead to a full-time offer.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct market and competitive research to identify emerging sectors, trends, and investment opportunities
  • Support deal sourcing by identifying, screening, and evaluating early-stage startups
  • Assist with diligence, including customer research, market sizing, and business model analysis
  • Prepare presentations and written materials for internal investment discussions and committees
  • Support firm initiatives such as fundraising, portfolio tracking, and special projects as needed

Qualifications

  • Current MBA student with a strong academic record
  • Technical background (e.g., computer science, engineering) strongly preferred
  • Prior experience in venture capital, investment banking, consulting, product management, or startups is a plus
  • Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Self-starter comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and interest in working closely with founders and senior executives
  • Demonstrated interest in startups, technology, and entrepreneurship
