Marketing Coordinator Intern

Role Overview

The Marketing Coordinator Intern supports the Marketing team with planning, coordinating, and executing corporate events and marketing initiatives. This role is heavily focused on event logistics and operational support for internal meetings, trade shows, and customer-facing events. The intern will gain hands-on experience in large scale event planning, vendor coordination, brand execution, and cross-functional collaboration while contributing to the successful delivery of high impact company programs.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the planning and execution of corporate events, including internal meetings such as the Global Sales Meeting, industry trade shows for Amlan International, and specialized meetings for the Fluids Purification division.
  • Support logistics for events including hotel room blocks, registration tracking, attendee coordination, and on-site support.
  • Coordinate ordering, tracking, and distribution of promotional materials and branded merchandise for events and marketing programs.
  • Assist with sourcing and coordinating catering, restaurants, and off-site event venues.
  • Communicate with internal stakeholders, vendors, hotels, and event partners to ensure accurate execution of event requirements and timelines.
  • Provide general marketing and administrative support to the Marketing team as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Event Management, or a related field.
  • Previous internships, campus involvement, or project experience related to marketing, events, or communications are preferred.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional and collaborative approach.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with project management or event tools is a plus.
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and eagerness to learn.
     

Compensation:

  • $18 - 22/hour (dependent on academic year)
