RWC is building a cohort of interns for the Summer of 2026. This will be a challenging opportunity to build skills in your field and create connections with RWC and peers from other Universities.
Position Summary:
The marketing internship offers well-rounded, comprehensive experience in brand communication across multiple channels, analyzing competitors along the way to help craft messaging and content. This candidate will gain hands-on skills in social media engagement, email marketing, and web content development, contributing to projects that strengthen brand presence and messaging for SharkBite.
This project will aid in a larger marketing initiative to build communication strategies based on competitive analysis by gathering and summarizing this valuable data, while putting it into action on our communication channels.
Key Focus Areas -

Social Media: Community management and brand voice/social strategy development This intern will help manage brand tone of voice through owned social comments, user engagement and DMs. All while studying in-industry and out-of-industry competitor brands and their social strategies in action to optimize SharkBite’s social channel strategy.

Email Marketing: Assist in writing compelling email content for campaigns and newsletters, all with competitor tactics in mind. This intern will also dive into email performance metrics and learn how to make data-driven decisions on content improvements based on how our audience receives it.
- Web Content: Assist in creating blog posts and product page updates. Learning how web content is created and the logic behind why design and content decisions are made, including diving into AEO and SEO and how this effects website performance. Comparing competitor websites’ practices to SharkBite’s and helping create a list of improvements to implement.
- Capstone: Create a holistic competitive analysis and showcase how it can be applied to SharkBite’s marketing strategy. The intern will work with and be guided by the marketing manager on how to benchmark KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) for their work at the start and end of internship to learn how to measure their success.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing and executing communication strategies across social media (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn), email, and web channels through competitor research and applied insights.
- Ensure multi-channel brand tone, messaging consistency, and content effectiveness by applying insights across platforms (e.g., community management, email copywriting, SEO-rich website descriptions, and content recommendations).
- Conduct competitor analysis to strengthen SharkBite’s brand performance and apply findings to real-world marketing initiatives.
- Develop writing skills for a variety of marketing communications channels while learning basic SEO/AEO and web best practices.
- Measure the success of campaigns and individual efforts using marketing tools, adjusting strategies as needed to optimize results.
- Gain exposure to popular marketing platforms such as Sprout, website CMS tools, and Pardot CRM to support campaign execution and performance tracking.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Marketing or Communications major; Junior or Higher
- GPA of 3.5 or higher
Experience:
- Strong writing and communication skills; familiarity with social media, web, and email platforms.
- Organized, able to manage multiple projects.
- Interest in social trends and digital marketing a plus
Working Conditions & Physical Demands:
- This position will be located in Atlanta, GA
- Interns are paid an hourly rate of $22
- Internship will have travel involved including a kick-off in Atlanta and Operations immersion week in Cullman, AL
