Content Creator

We’re a locally owned and family operated residential service plumbing company that believes great marketing doesn’t feel like marketing. Our goal is to build a recognizable, trusted brand by educating homeowners and making them laugh—often at the same time. We want our content to feel authentic, helpful, and human, not corporate or cringey.

The Role

We’re looking for a creative Content Creator who can generate ideas, film, and edit short-form video content for platforms like Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube Shorts. You’ll be responsible for turning everyday plumbing situations into engaging educational and comedic content that builds trust, brand recognition, and audience growth.

This role is hands-on. You’ll be in the field, in the shop, and occasionally in front of plumbers and cameras—capturing real moments and turning them into content people actually want to watch.

This role will start as a temporary role but has the potential to turn into a permanent role.

Responsibilities

  • Brainstorm and pitch content ideas centered around:
  • Homeowner education (plumbing tips, myths, mistakes, “what not to do”)
  • Light comedy and relatable humor
  • Behind-the-scenes moments and real-world service calls (where appropriate)
  • Film short-form video content using a phone or camera (often on-site)
  • Edit videos for social platforms (captions, cuts, pacing, basic graphics, music)
  • Collaborate with plumbers and leadership to capture authentic moments
  • Stay current on social media trends and adapt them to our brand voice
  • Maintain a consistent posting cadence and content library
  • Repurpose content across platforms when appropriate
  • Track what performs well and adjust content accordingly

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong sense of humor and timing—especially for educational comedy
  • Comfortable filming in real-world environments (homes, job sites, shop)
  • Ability to work independently from idea to finished post
  • Strong video editing skills (CapCut, Premiere Pro, Final Cut, etc.)
  • Understanding of what performs on TikTok, Instagram Reels, and Shorts
  • Comfortable being on camera occasionally (optional but a plus)
  • Organized, reliable, and able to hit deadlines

Nice-to-Have (But Not Required)

  • Experience in blue-collar, home services, or trades content
  • Writing skills for captions and hooks
  • Experience managing posting and analytics
