Journalism Intern

Journalism Intern – Remote (Unpaid)
Location: Remote
Term: Fall/Winter/Spring Semesters 2025-2026 (Flexible start/end dates) with opportunity for extension
Eligibility: High school juniors/seniors, college students, or recent graduates who live in the U.S.A.

About Us:
WG Business Enterprises is seeking a motivated Journalism Intern to help share our story and showcase our expertise through articles, media features, and interviews. This internship offers hands-on experience in the world of journalism, where you will have the opportunity to contribute to our media presence by writing articles and helping to secure placements in magazines, journals, and online publications. The role is perfect for those eager to develop their writing skills, learn the process of pitching stories, and gain exposure in the media industry. This is an unpaid internship, ideal for students looking to build their portfolio and gain valuable experience in journalism.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and identify relevant magazines, journals, and online publications that align with our business and services.
  • Conduct interviews with the company’s founder, team members, and clients to gather insights for feature articles.
  • Write well-crafted articles and profiles about WG Business Enterprises, our services, and key business insights.
  • Pitch article ideas and stories to journalists, editors, and media outlets to secure coverage for our company.
  • Assist with drafting interview responses for magazine features and other media opportunities.
  • Track and report on media placements, following up as needed with editors and journalists.
  • Help create press releases and media kits to support press outreach efforts.
  • Participate in regular team check-ins to discuss the status of media outreach and editorial efforts.

Who We’re Looking For:

  • High school juniors/seniors, college students, or recent graduates with an interest in journalism, communications, or a related field.
  • Strong writing abilities with a knack for crafting engaging, clear, and informative articles.
  • Basic understanding of journalism practices, media ethics, and the publishing process.
  • Comfortability conducting interviews and extracting valuable insights from interviewees.
  • Self-starter with excellent time management and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Passion for storytelling and an interest in business, entrepreneurship, and professional services.
  • Availability to commit to the internship for the full term (flexible schedule).
  • Eagerness to learn, develop writing skills, and actively contribute to a collaborative team environment.
