National Park Service Seasonal Biological Science Technician
As a Biological Science Technician, you will perform the following duties:
- Organizes, schedules, and executes a wide variety of established natural resource management projects.
- Makes field observations of natural resource conditions.
- Performs field and laboratory analysis of collected samples.
- Collects data utilizing measuring tools, hand tools, electronic data collection equipment and Geographic Positioning Systems (GPS).
- Provides logistical support, orientation, and monitoring for management.
- Maintains and organizes computer databases.
- Manages and analyzes field data and writes summary reports of plant and wildlife field surveys.
- Collects and organizes field data using standardized data collection procedures and equipment.
- Installs, operates, and maintains resource management equipment such as tools, traps, and sampling, monitoring, photographic, and laboratory equipment.
- May develop and present related interpretive programs to the public.
