Hispanic Liaison Intern

Internship Description

Under the direction of the Community Relations Board Director and the Hispanic Liaison, the primary role of the Hispanic Liaison Summer Intern is to work directly with the Hispanic Liaison and act as a conduit for community members, translate information, assist in Hispanic cultural events such as planning, setting up, and working with vendors. 

Duties

  • Translate information both verbal and written.
  • Knowledge of social media, photography, and marketing.
  • Assist the Hispanic Liaison with pre-event planning, day of execution, and event wrap up.
  • Execute marketing activities to ensure successful events including but limited to International Cultural Community Festival, Sports Competition, and Hispanic Heritage Month.
  • Assist with administrative duties such as event tracking, thank you cards for vendors and sponsors, and logistics.
  • Ability to lift 25lbs. 

Minimum Qualifications: To be considered for this internship you must: 

  • Must be fluent in Spanish
  • Strong fluency in Microsoft Office products like PowerPoint, Word, Excel, etc. 
  • Ability to work independently, exercising responsible judgment and initiative
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Must have excellent verbal communication skills and exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Candidate must be available to work within the prescribed hours or if flexible hours or offered, during the season in which he or she is employed.

Preferred Qualifications:
Event planning experience
