Calla Cane is a high-end residential architecture and design studio specializing in thoughtfully crafted, detail-driven homes. Our work is rooted in timeless design, rigorous execution, and close collaboration with clients, consultants, and builders. As we expand into more full-scope architectural projects, we are seeking an experienced architect to play a key role in leading projects from concept through construction.

The Role

We are looking for a Project Architect with strong experience in full-scope residential architecture—someone who is equally comfortable developing refined design concepts and executing highly detailed construction documents. This role requires ownership, judgment, and the ability to manage multiple phases of a project while upholding an exceptional level of quality.

You will work closely with the Principal and internal team, as well as consultants and contractors, to ensure projects are delivered seamlessly from early design through construction administration.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage full-scope residential projects from schematic design through construction administration
• Develop clear, thoughtful design solutions aligned with client goals and the firm’s aesthetic
• Produce and oversee high-quality construction documents, including detailed plans, sections, elevations, and details
• Coordinate with consultants (structural, MEP, landscape, lighting, etc.)
• Manage permitting and approval processes
• Participate in client meetings and present design and technical information clearly and confidently
• Conduct construction administration, including site visits, RFIs, submittals, and coordination with contractors
• Maintain project schedules and assist with internal project organization
• Uphold a high standard of design excellence, accuracy, and professionalism

Qualifications

• Professional degree in Architecture
• 5+ years of experience working on high-end residential projects
• Demonstrated experience taking projects through full scope (design through construction)
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (Revit experience a plus, if applicable)
• Excellent understanding of residential construction methods, detailing, and building codes
• Strong graphic, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and take initiative
• Experience working directly with clients, consultants, and builders
• Licensure preferred but not required (depending on level)
