Civil Engineer

This position involves highly skilled individual who is responsible for performing complex professional engineering work within the Engineering Division of the Department of Public Works. The work may involve making professional decisions on engineering and administrative problems, scheduling projects, developing plans and designs, and overseeing public works projects. The incumbent works under the direction of the Assistant City Engineer.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field, including relevant experience which provides the knowledge, abilities, and skills described above. Considerable knowledge of land and engineering survey system, techniques and methods. Knowledge of construction materials and standards of safety as related to structural designs and specifications. Experience with AutoCAD, Civil3D and GIS software. 

Salary

The annual salary range for this position is $63,971.84 – $79,964.80, plus an excellent fringe benefit package including paid time off, health, life, dental, and Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS). The WRS is among the best funded and best managed public pension systems in the country.
