This role is part of a high-impact initiative that combines targeted email marketing with in-store retail engagement to drive customer acquisition and brand loyalty. You’ll develop core skills in sales, team leadership, and business operations while representing AT&T inside one of Costco’s busiest retail environments.

As a Manager Trainee, you’ll begin by mastering front-line retail operations—engaging directly with Costco members to promote and sell AT&T’s wireless, internet, and entertainment services. This hands-on experience lays the groundwork for leadership as you grow into a full Manager Trainee role, coaching new hires, leading in-store initiatives, and driving team performance. This role fast-tracks top talent into retail marketing and AT&T leadership—all within Costco’s dynamic environment.

What Will I Be Doing as an Entry Level Manager Trainee?

  • Drive AT&T sales inside Costco by engaging members and promoting wireless and internet services.
  • Mentor and coach new sales reps within the Costco environment, helping them exceed goals through hands-on training, role modeling, and campaign alignment.
  • Lead daily team meetings on-site at Costco, sharing AT&T sales strategies, campaign updates, and performance metrics to keep the team focused and energized.
  • Support weekly and monthly sales reporting, analyzing Costco-specific trends, identifying growth opportunities, and contributing to campaign improvements.
  • Consistently exceed personal sales targets by applying best practices in member engagement, product presentation, and closing techniques tailored to the Costco setting.
  • Recruit, interview, and onboard new team members for the AT&T campaign at Costco, strengthening team performance and culture from day one.
  • Act as a communication bridge between field teams at Costco and senior leadership, ensuring feedback, updates, and strategic goals are clearly shared and executed.

What Do I Need to Bring to the Table as an Entry Level Manager Trainee?

  • High school diploma or GED required; college coursework in Business, Marketing, or related fields is a plus.
  • An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred for leadership development.
  • Must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Previous experience in sales, customer service, or public-facing roles is beneficial.
  • Strong communication skills, including active listening and confident verbal delivery.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams and contribute in fast-paced retail settings.
