Full Stack Developer

Role Overview:

HYVE Media is seeking a Full Stack Web Developer to help build and maintain modern web applications from the ground up. This role involves taking finalized designs and translating them into fully functional, scalable applications by implementing front-end interfaces, back-end services, and business logic.

You’ll work closely with designers and project leads to turn concepts into production-ready software, debug issues across the stack, and contribute to documentation that keeps projects clean and maintainable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement front-end interfaces from completed designs (Figma, mockups, or specs) using modern frameworks
  • Develop and maintain back-end services and APIs, including business logic and data handling
  • Integrate databases, authentication systems, third-party APIs, and cloud services
  • Translate product requirements into functional software features
  • Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve issues across both front-end and back-end layers
  • Write clear, maintainable code following best practices
  • Document technical decisions, known issues, and system behavior
  • Collaborate with team members through code reviews, version control, and task tracking
  • Optimize applications for performance, security, and scalability
  • Assist with deployments, environment configuration, and basic DevOps workflows

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Experience with at least one modern front-end framework (React, Vue, or similar)
  • Familiarity with Firebase and/or AWS
  • Experience building back-end applications using Node.js, Express, or comparable frameworks
  • Familiarity with REST APIs and data flow between front end and back end
  • Experience working with databases (SQL or NoSQL)
  • Comfortable using Git and version control workflows
  • Ability to read, understand, and implement existing codebases
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills

Nice To Haves:

  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Firebase, Vercel, etc.)
  • Knowledge of authentication, authorization, and security best practices
  • Experience with CI/CD, Docker, or deployment pipelines
  • Understanding of UI/UX principles and responsive design
  • Prior experience working with real clients or production systems
