Social Media Intern

About Allies Way

Allies Way is a Georgia-based nonprofit dedicated to eradicating food insecurity and homelessness. Through initiatives like the Sunshine Summer Lunch Program, Haven of Hope, and recurring outreach events such as the Monthly Meal Mission, we provide housing stability, food outreach, and wraparound services for families in crisis. We are working toward a $1M fundraising goal to expand our impact statewide.

Position Overview

The Social Media & Storytelling Intern will help manage Allies Way’s digital voice across platforms by creating engaging content and highlighting the stories of our community. From spotlight campaigns like Faces of Allies Way to policy updates and Giving Tuesday reels, you’ll play a key role in showing donors and the public the impact of our work. This role is ideal for students interested in digital marketing, content creation, or nonprofit storytelling.

Responsibilities

Create and schedule social media content across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and TikTok.

Develop digital storytelling campaigns such as “Faces of Allies Way” and “This Week in Policy.”

Produce short-form video content (reels, stories, TikToks) for fundraising pushes like Giving Tuesday.

Collect and edit photos, videos, and testimonials from Allies Way programs and events.

Track analytics and engagement metrics to inform future campaigns.

Collaborate with the Marketing & Communications team to ensure consistent branding and messaging.

Familiarity with major social platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn).

Basic skills in Canva, CapCut, Adobe, or similar tools for design and editing.

Organized, detail-oriented, and responsive to deadlines.

Preferred majors: Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Digital Media, Public Relations, Nonprofit Management, or related fields.
