Arts Program Coordinator
Oversee planning and delivery of Arts program activities that are safe, fun, and appropriate to youth age and abilities. Provide management to the physical operation of the Arts program facilities and equipment.

Job Functions:
- Plan, direct and supervise a safe and fun Arts program.
- Write (with the help of the Arts staff and camp directors) lesson plans that meet camp goals.
- Set daily and session schedules for the Arts program.
- Prepare activity areas, plans, and supplies before campers arrive to be ready for implementation.
- Get acquainted with the program activity spaces and available equipment and supplies.
- Request additional equipment and supplies, if needed.
- Train and guide Arts staff in implementation of the program.
- Assist in the planning and implementation of staff training.
- Train Arts and counseling staff in their activity responsibilities.
- With camp directors, schedule and supervise Arts staff to provide a safe and high-quality program.
- Manage the physical facilities, supplies, and equipment in the Arts program areas
- Set up Arts activities area prior to and during staff training.
- Teach and monitor proper use of equipment.
- Conduct initial and end-of-season inventory.
- Check equipment and make (or request) repairs.
- Conduct daily check of area and equipment for safety, cleanliness, and good repair.
- Request equipment and supplies when needed, ensuring timely arrival of materials.
- Assist in packing all materials and supplies at the end of the season.
Other job duties:
- Participate as a member of the camp program team to support evening programs, special events, overnights and other all-camp activities and camp functions
- Work with Program Director and other administrative staff in the planning and implementation of special events.
- Participate in management and staff meetings.
- Participate enthusiastically in all camp activities, planning and leading those as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications and experience
- Current certification or experience in arts education or equivalent.
- Current certification in first aid and CPR, recommended.
- Prior supervision of a multi-discipline Arts program, preferred.
- Participation in a multi-discipline Arts program, required.
- Experience in guiding other Arts staff is desirable.
This position lives on-site at Camp WeHaKee and works full time+ from May 24 through August 18, 2026
