Marketing Coordinator Intern (Spring & Summer 2026)

Position Overview: 

Are you passionate about digital storytelling, content creation, and using marketing for social impact? Step’s Foundation, Inc. is seeking a creative and driven Marketing Coordinator Intern to support our communications and outreach efforts. This unpaid remote internship is ideal for students looking to gain experience in nonprofit marketing, social media strategy, and branding.

As a Marketing Coordinator Intern, you’ll help shape our digital voice, share the stories of our students and families, and promote our mental health and youth empowerment programs. Our staff will provide you with photos, content, and updates—your job is to bring them to life through compelling messaging and visuals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and schedule social media content that aligns with our mission and branding
  • Assist with newsletter creation, campaign planning, and email engagement
  • Use Canva to design graphics for digital platforms and promotional materials
  • Help execute and refine our existing marketing plan
  • Monitor and track analytics across platforms to assess and report engagement
  • Assist with digital storytelling based on real student and program impact stories
  • Maintain consistency in messaging, tone, and visual identity across platforms
     

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field
  • Strong writing and communication skills with attention to tone and audience
  • Proficiency with social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.)
  • Experience using Canva is required
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work independently on deadlines
  • Interest in mental health, youth development, and nonprofit branding is preferred
