Campus Product Manager
JOB TITLE: Campus Product Manager Intern (Flexible / Remote)
APPLICATION: Email creator@sekaiapp.com
WHO WE ARE
Sekai is the first app that lets you build your own mobile apps just by typing.
We are disrupting the app store model by letting anyone create interactive experiences—called "Jams"—without writing a single line of code. We have millions of users scrolling, playing, and creating every day.
THE ROLE
We are looking for Product Strategists. We don’t care if you are a Freshman, Sophomore, or Senior. We care if you understand human behavior.
This is a Junior Product Management role. You will bridge the gap between our engineering team and the campus reality. We need someone who can translate "vibe checks" into actual product strategies.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
• Hunt for "Viral Mechanics": You won't just look at data; you will tell us WHY things are growing. Why did this specific quiz take off? Why did that game flop?
• Define Social Use Cases: You will identify the exact moments in a student’s life where Sekai fits perfectly. (e.g., "Students need a way to break the ice during orientation—let's build a specific Jam for that.")
• User Research: You will talk to users (your friends, classmates) to understand how they share content. You are our "boots on the ground."
WHO YOU ARE
• The "Organized Creative": You are just as comfortable looking at a spreadsheet as you are scrolling through TikTok.
• Curious & Analytical: You ask "Why?" constantly. You want to understand the psychology behind why an app goes viral, not just watch it happen.
• A Natural Leader: You are comfortable talking to strangers, organizing feedback sessions, and presenting your findings clearly.
HOW TO APPLY
We don't want a cover letter. We want to see your Product Thinking.
Step 1: Download Sekai (iOS / Android Links)
Step 2: The Product Audit (The Challenge) We want you to create a demo Jam and analyze it.
- Build a Demo Jam: Create one Jam that you believe has high viral potential for college students. (It doesn’t have to be polished—we just need to see the concept).
-
The "Growth Thesis" (The important part): Write a brief explanation (bullet points are fine) answering these three questions:
- Why this? Why is this specific idea catchy or trendy right now? (e.g., "It plays into the '6'5 Finance' meme culture.")
- The Share Loop: Who sends this to whom? (e.g., "A girl sends this to her roommate to roast her ex-boyfriend.")
- The Remix Loop: How does a second user take this and make it their own?
Step 3: Submit Email creator@sekaiapp.com with:
- Your Resume.
- The link to your Demo Jam.
- Your "Growth Thesis" explanation.
