Part Time Social Media Manager

Part-Time | On-site/Hybrid | New York, NY

About the Role
A prominent New York City physician specializing in wellness, pain management, sports medicine, regenerative medicine, and longevity is seeking a Part-Time Social Media Manager to build and maintain the doctor’s personal and professional digital presence. This role is ideal for someone creative, organized, and comfortable translating a physician’s expertise and personality into engaging, high-quality content.

 

Position Overview

The Part-Time Social Media Manager will create content, manage posting schedules, and support the doctor’s online visibility across social media accounts like Instagram.  This role requires approximately 10 hours per week, with some on-site time required for filming and capturing content.

 

Key Responsibilities

Content Creation & Execution

  • Write scripts for short-form content about wellness, longevity and pain management. 
  • Film and edit short-form videos (Reels/TikToks), educational clips, and behind-the-scenes content as per written scripts.
  • Capture photo and video content during office hours or events (with patient consent).
  • Write engaging captions and assist with copy for posts, stories, and occasional emails.

 

Brand Presence

  • Maintain consistent brand messaging that reflects the doctor’s voice, professionalism, and patient-centered approach.
  • Ensure all content conforms to HIPAA and patient privacy requirements.
  • Highlight the doctor’s expertise, procedures, media features, and thought leadership.

 

Digital Strategy & Community Engagement

  • Identify trends, audio, and growth opportunities relevant to medical, wellness, and longevity audiences.
  • Post regularly across platforms and track basic analytics to guide future content.
  • Monitor comments and messages, escalating patient-related questions appropriately.

 

Reputation & Visibility Support

  • Assist in promoting press features, speaking engagements, webinars, and academic involvement.
  • Coordinate light influencer or partnership outreach when relevant.

 

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of social media experience with a public figure, healthcare expert, wellness professional, or luxury brand.
  • Strong video editing and photo content skills.
  • Proficiency with Reels/TikTok trends and short-form content.
  • Strong writing and communication skills.
  • Comfortable filming in a clinical environment and giving direction.
  • Highly discreet, reliable, and organized.

 

Preferred Skills

  • Experience growing accounts in the wellness/medical/influencer space.
  • Familiarity with healthcare communication guidelines and HIPAA.
  • Canva, Adobe Suite, or CapCut experience.

 

Schedule & Compensation

  • 10 hours per week
  • $20/hr
  • Hybrid: some in-office filming required
