UI/UX Designer (Startup Environment)

About the Role
We’re looking for a creative, user-obsessed UI/UX Designer to define and elevate the user experience of our product from the ground up. As an early design hire, you’ll own the end-to-end design process—from research and wireframes to high-fidelity visuals and interactive prototypes. You will help shape how users interact with a complex AI product and make it feel simple, intuitive, and empowering.

This is a role for someone who thrives in ambiguity, loves building 0→1 experiences, and wants to have a meaningful impact on product strategy and design culture.

What You’ll Do

Own the full design lifecycle: research, user flows, wireframes, prototypes, visual design, and usability testing.

Translate complex AI and financial concepts into simple, intuitive, beautifully crafted user experiences.

Develop and maintain a consistent design system that scales across products and platforms.

Work closely with product managers, engineers, and founders to define and refine product features.

Conduct user interviews, gather insights, and turn raw feedback into actionable design decisions.

Design responsive web and mobile experiences with strong attention to detail and usability.

Help shape the brand’s visual language, tone, and design philosophy in a fast-moving startup environment.

Iterate quickly based on data, experimentation, and user behavior—not long cycles.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, HCI, Interaction Design, or related field.

2+ years of experience in UI/UX design, product design, or interaction design.

Strong portfolio demonstrating user-centered design, systems thinking, and visual polish.

Proficiency with modern design tools (Figma preferred).

Ability to break down ambiguous problems and craft clear, elegant solutions.

Experience designing for web and mobile interfaces.

Strong communication skills—able to present design rationale clearly and confidently.

Bonus Skills

Experience designing AI-driven products or workflow tools.

Familiarity with fintech or data-heavy interfaces.

Motion/interaction design skills (micro-interactions, animations).

Experience with design systems, prototyping libraries, or front-end collaboration.
