OpenStatus is a fast-growing platform that helps users instantly check whether local businesses are open, busy, or closed in real time. We’re expanding quickly and need a reliable, skilled developer to help us refine the app, ensure stability, and build new features that will take OpenStatus to the next level.
Role Overview
We’re seeking an experienced Flutter Mobile App Developer who is a strong communicator, fast worker, and can immediately jump into our existing codebase. You’ll be responsible for reviewing the current app architecture, performing ongoing maintenance, and building out new functionality.
Responsibilities
• Review and understand the existing Flutter codebase
• Perform app maintenance, debugging, and optimization
• Implement a new feature (details provided during onboarding)
• Collaborate quickly and communicate progress clearly
• Ensure performance, stability, and clean code practices
• Work closely with the founders for fast iteration and delivery
Requirements
• 2+ years of professional Flutter development experience
• Strong understanding of Dart, state management, APIs, and mobile architecture
• Ability to quickly grasp existing projects and improve them
• Excellent communication and accountability
• Able to work under tight deadlines
• Prior experience publishing apps to the App Store / Google Play (bonus)
• Familiarity with Firebase (bonus)
