Production Intern

Want to break into the ever-changing world of radio and digital media? There's no better place to start than by interning with The Morning Show with Joe Piscopo on AM 970 The Answer. Whether your dream career is hosting a morning show on the radio, anchoring a newscast, producing a talk show, or becoming a marketing expert, there are plenty of internship opportunities at AM 970 The Answer and Salem NY to immerse you into the world of digital and on-air media. As a Production Intern, you will learn what it takes to put together a live show by working closely with our programming and on-air staff. Start and end dates are flexible. 

Hours: 5-15/week—5:30am-10:30am, 1-3 days/week.  Rate $16.50/hour

Responsibilities will include:  

Assisting the producers and on-air talent with daily tasks and special projects

Assisting with contesting, screening listener calls, editing audio, recording sound, and updating social media pages

Collecting and editing sound bites (2-3/week) to be used in the live show regarding breaking news or contemporary issues
