What You’ll Be a Part Of

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Web Development Intern to support our expansion into the apparel industry. If you have prior experience building e-commerce websites and want to contribute your creativity, curiosity, and technical skill to a larger vision of helping an emerging brand come to life, this is the opportunity for you! You won’t just be writing code, but you’ll help build solutions that make commerce better for everyone — and grow into the developer you’re aiming to become.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • E-Commerce Development: Assist in building and customizing visually compelling e-commerce sites.
  • Theme Customization: Work on theme customization using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Liquid, ensuring consistent, responsive, and high-performing websites.
  • Third-Party App Integration: Support the integration and configuration of third-party Shopify apps to enhance store functionality.
  • Content Updates: Help with product uploads, collection management, and general content updates across Shopify stores.
  • Outreach Strategy Research: Conduct keyword research and optimize SEO strategies.
  • Troubleshooting & Support: Identify and resolve technical issues related to Shopify websites, ensuring optimal performance and user experience.
  • Collaboration: Proactive in sharing recommendations as well as open to receive & implement feedback during weekly check-in meetings.
  • Performance Optimization: Assist in optimizing site performance, including page load speed, mobile responsiveness, and usability.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough testing (ie. A/B testing) of websites to ensure they meet design and functionality requirements before launch.

Qualifications

  • Strong interest in web development and e-commerce.
  • Basic knowledge of Shopify and e-commerce platforms.
  • Basic knowledge of front-end development languages (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and Shopify’s Liquid templating language.
  • Strong project management, decision-making, and organizational skills.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s program in Computer Science, Web Development, Marketing, or a related field (3rd or 4th year), or recent graduates with relevant projects are encouraged to apply.
  • Familiarity with social media, SEO, and digital marketing tools preferred.

 

Location: On-Site

Pay: Starting at $18 per hr

Job Type: Part-time
