Film and TV Program Coordinator

Who We Are

Vermilion is a small New York-based arts organization dedicated to providing career support and opportunities to actors, filmmakers, and multi-hyphenate artists in film, television, and theater. The company has expanded over the past four years from our founder’s early days teaching acting at studios in New York City. The organization now includes a mentorship program, industry workshops, the Vermilion podcast, and a vibrant community of working artists from all across the United States. 

The Role

Vermilion is seeking an enthusiastic go-getter Program Coordinator to manage operations, administration, and marketing in the New York office. As Program Coordinator you’ll gain first-hand industry experience across Entertainment, Media, Marketing, Sales, and Arts Administration, receive hands-on professional development, and serve as the operational hub of the agency. This role is a critical part of the company’s culture and structure.

The Program Coordinator role consists of two distinct responsibilities: Operations and Marketing. These roles build on each other and provide unique exposure to the company, which allows you to develop your hard and soft skills. A successful Program Coordinator will help build the company alongside the founder, with the goal of expanding into an even larger role after one year.

Responsibilities:
 

Operations:

  • Liaise with clients, students, and industry guests utilizing elite customer service skills
  • Build and foster relationships with high-level entertainment professionals
  • Act as the voice of Vermilion by answering incoming emails and DMs
  • Schedule meetings and coaching sessions and manage billing and invoicing
  • Book studio and event space for classes and workshops
  • Assist with the production of the Vermilion weekly podcast
  • Online research relating to the film and television industry
  • Creating Canva and Google Doc presentations
  • Maintain confidentiality of all records and information pertaining to clients and guests

Marketing:

  • Create and execute marketing campaigns including email and social media content
  • Copywriting and copy editing for a variety of media
  • Supervise graphic design team for all marketing and promotional content
  • Brainstorm brand campaigns and social media content creation
  • Attend press and entertainment industry events alongside founder
  • Create videography and photography content
  • Monitor budgets for various campaigns
  • Coordinate sales efforts, including Google AdWords and Meta Advertising

 

Qualifications

  • BA/BS or MA/MFA/MS from an accredited University or College is preferred
  • Demonstrated passion for Entertainment, Media, or Arts Administration
  • Excellent customer service and networking skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem resolution skills
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Detail-oriented and extremely organized
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Familiarity with Google Suite and Adobe Suite products
  • Familiarity with Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube
  • Exceptional copywriting and content creation skills for diverse audiences
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on ROI measurement

     

Compensation

The base hourly rate for this position is in the range of $17/hr. Position is hybrid remote and in-person. Federal holidays are paid time off.
