Program Summary

The Intern will work with Vanbarton Group’s Investor Relations team through a structured six-week program based in New York. The program offers an introduction to real estate private equity, investor engagement, and institutional fundraising. The Intern will gain first-hand experience supporting the creation of investor materials, market research, and investor communications across Vanbarton’s diverse strategies, including office, multifamily, office-to-residential conversions, retail, specialized industrial, and hospitality investments. 

Program Objectives

• Understand the role of Investor Relations within an integrated real estate investment platform.
• Gain exposure to how investor engagement, reporting, and marketing drive the firm’s capital formation efforts.
• Learn technical writing skills through the drafting of investor reports, meeting summaries, and market updates.
• Assist in creating and editing presentation materials, quarterly updates, and fundraising documents.
• Support CRM data management and tracking of investor communications.
• Conduct research on investor mandates, real estate market trends, and competitor strategies.
• Help organize investor meetings, events, and site tours; capture follow-up items and key takeaways.
• Collaborate across acquisitions, asset management, finance, and legal teams to gather information for investor requests.
• Opportunity for Partner-level mentorship. 

Qualifications

• Rising junior in an accredited undergraduate program
• Demonstrated interest in real estate 
• Ability to commute to New York office five days a week
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Show strong initiative
• Excellent academic record
• Willingness to ask questions
