Overview
We are seeking dedicated and motivated remote interns to support our organization’s programs, outreach, and administrative efforts. This position is ideal for students or professionals seeking hands-on experience in nonprofit management, community outreach, and social services all from a virtual environment.
Responsibilities
- Fundraising & Event Support: Assist in planning and promoting virtual fundraising campaigns and online community events.
- Outreach & School Relations: Build and maintain relationships between your school/university and our organization to increase awareness and engagement.
- Counseling Support (Virtual):
- shadowing licensed professionals with virtual counseling sessions and educational classes (e.g., anger management, parenting, domestic violence awareness).
- Help coordinate scheduling, digital resources, and participant communication.
- Community Awareness:
- Promote our programs virtually through social media, email, and digital materials (brochures, flyers, newsletters).
- Encourage peers, family, and community members to get involved.
- Administrative Assistance:
- Draft letters, memos, and reports.
- Assist in grant writing, data entry, and online record keeping.
- Provide translation or interpretation for communications and documents (if bilingual).
- Educational Support: Provide virtual tutoring or homework help for children as needed.
- Employment Assistance: Support clients remotely in creating résumés, job searches, and interview preparation.
- Cultural Awareness: Help create and share educational content promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Research & Reporting: Compile and submit progress reports to the Program Director.
- Additional Duties: Perform other virtual tasks assigned by the Director, including:
- Online fundraising
- Grant research and writing
- Virtual volunteer supervision
- Contacting officials via email or video call
- Court or agency reporting (as applicable)
Qualifications
- Reliable internet connection and ability to work remotely
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Organized, self-motivated, and detail-oriented
- Commitment to the mission and values of the organization
- Experience or interest in social work, psychology, nonprofit management, or community outreach
