The Change Academy at Marketing for Change

The Change Academy at Marketing for Change offers a paid, semester-long experience for students and emerging creatives who want to design for good. We’re a behavior-change marketing agency, which means our work isn’t about selling products—it’s about inspiring people to live healthier, safer, and more sustainable lives.

Each semester, we bring on a small cohort of interns who are passionate about using creativity to make an impact. As a Graphic Design / Creative Intern, you’ll work alongside our art directors, designers, and strategists to create real campaigns that drive positive change. You’ll contribute to concepting sessions, design social and digital content, and learn how to tell visual stories that move people to act.

In addition to hands-on client work, you’ll participate in skill-specific training and workshops in design thinking, management, and behavioral science. You’ll also be part of a creative community—attending agency events, collaborating with fellow interns, and learning directly from mentors who love what they do.
 

What to Expect

  • $17.50/hour (or minimum wage, whichever is higher)
  • 20 hours per week, with at least some time in the office
  • 12–16 week program with a mix of training, real projects, and portfolio-building opportunities
  • The chance to grow into a Change Academy Fellow or even a full-time team member at Marketing for Change
     

You’re a great fit if you:

  • Are studying or have experience in graphic design, visual communication, or a related creative field
  • Have a strong eye for layout, color, and typography (and can show it off in your portfolio)
  • Are curious about human behavior and how design can influence it
  • Are collaborative, open to feedback, and genuinely nice to work with
     

Location: In-person participation is required at your selected Change Academy office.
