'IT Girl' Club Volunteers

There are three volunteer opportunities available during each ‘IT Girl’ club session, volunteers will be asked to select from the following opportunities:

•  Student Assistants work directly with participants, helping them log in, set up devices, troubleshoot basic technology issues, and stay engaged throughout activities. This role combines hands-on technical support with encouragement, giving students both the practical help and the mentorship they need to succeed. 

• Facilitator Assistants support the lead instructor by reinforcing lessons, engaging with students in small groups or as a class, and mentoring them through problem-solving discussions. While deep technical expertise isn’t required, volunteers should be comfortable with basic computer use and helping students connect concepts to their projects. 

• Logistics Assistants provide both student and program support by helping manage the classroom environment, distributing and collecting materials, setting up and breaking down the space, and supporting presentations or online tools.
