Marketing & Brand Strategy Intern

Are you passionate about storytelling, civic engagement, and social media? Want to work closely with a dynamic grassroots initiative that’s building momentum for change in Miami?

Move Miami Forward is seeking a Marketing & Brand Strategy Intern to join our team for an 8-week, part-time internship (10 hours/week) with a $800 stipend.

This is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in branding, digital strategy, and community engagement — and to help shape the messaging for a bold, social enterprise that aims to catalyze civic engagement in Miami.

📌 Internship Details:

Duration: 8 weeks

Time Commitment: 10 hours per week (flexible hours)

Compensation: $800 stipend

Location: Hybrid (Remote + Miami-based events as needed)

🔧 Responsibilities:

As our intern, you’ll work directly with the co-founder to support and implement our brand and content strategy. Key responsibilities include:

Assisting in the buildout of marketing and brand strategy across MMF and campaign-specific messaging

Conducting a social media audit of co-founder's channels and identifying areas for improvement and growth

Drafting and editing compelling written content (e.g. captions, blogs, newsletters)

Designing reusable Canva templates and visual assets aligned with our brand

Establishing a content calendar mapped to strategy, events, and campaign priorities

Managing social media scheduling and posting content regularly

Attending local events to capture photo/video content for digital use

Supporting engagement strategy (replying to comments, DMs, story shares, etc.)

Researching political, cultural, and civic trends to inform content direction

Compiling monthly reports to assess performance and guide future strategy

✅ Essential skills and attributes:

A self-starter with strong organizational and creative skills

Proficient in social platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Twitter/X, LinkedIn)

Comfortable using Canva (or willing to learn quickly!)

Excellent written communication skills

Interest in politics, branding, civic engagement, and community-building

Able to attend occasional events in the Miami area
