Cookbook Photography Intern

A part time paid position as a photography intern/assistant. Working with photographer Nina Gallant. The work will mainly consist of assisting Nina on photoshoots associated with a forth-coming cookbook. The photoshoots will mainly be happening in Somerville, MA and  South Boston. There will also be a training period where the internship/job recipient will accompany Nina to her studio and on shoots to learn the workflow of digital photography and studio lighting.

The position starts in December, 2025 and runs through June of 2026. 

December - 5-10 hours/week training and assisting in photography production

January - June - Assisting with prep and shooting of cookbook on a bi-weekly basis. Apx 1 10 hour day every 2 weeks.

Basic Qualifications:

-Proficiency with a DSLR camera

-Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop

-A deep interest in food photography

-A deep curiosity about studio lighting, photography production, entrepreneurship, creative process

-Take direction well, and collaborate with a team

-Have the ability to commute to Union Sq Somerville and South Boston without drama

-Be ready to work hard and learn A LOT.
