Blogger/Content Editor

POSITION SUMMARY:

Our bloggers and journalists are genuine storytellers who help us grow our content and engage our readers. They are high-energy, self-directed, deadline-oriented individuals working to educate and inform about moving by researching and writing articles in an engaging style. This is a paid-per-project position. Most of our content creators make between $15 and $20/hour.

JOB REQUIREMENTS, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

This position will primarily address outdated blog posts and edit them to be relevant, accurate, and up-to-date. There will still be an opportunity to create original pieces.. Qualifications are as follows:
 

  • Access to a computer
  • Previous experience in editing is required
  • Knowledge of basic SEO is preferred, but not required
  • A college student working towards a degree in English/journalism/communications is preferred but may be substituted with previous writing experience
  • Experience with WordPress, content creation, and/or journalism preferred
  • Experience with Slack and Trello preferred
  • This position requires conducting interviews with professionals from varying fields.
  • The use of AI to generate an outline or content is NOT permitted.
  • If you do not already have a LinkedIn profile, you will be required to create and optimize one upon employment.
