Construction Project Management Intern (Summer 2026)

This is a paid Summer 2026 internship running from May through August, with exact start and end dates to be mutually agreed upon.

You are a curious and motivated student who thrives in both the classroom and real-world settings. You’re eager to gain practical experience in project management and to learn how construction projects are led from start to finish. You’re detail-oriented, proactive, and excited to contribute to a team that values relationships, learning, and excellence.
How You’ll Contribute
Throughout your summer with us, you will:
- Support several Project Managers and assist in the day-to-day management of construction projects.
- Split your time between both office and field.
- Prepare materials for project kickoff meetings.
- Participate in on-screen takeoffs for proposals and pricing.
- Assist with submittal and RFI processes.
- Conduct safety and quality audits.
- Document site observation reports.
- Manage punchlist tracking and monitoring.
- Assist in creating project schedules and adjusting them as needed.
- Utilize Procore and Bluebeam software.
- Handle inventory and inspections as materials arrive to site.
- Prepare project closeout binder templates.
- Gain an understanding of CSI divisions and scopes of work.
- Learn the roles and responsibilities of construction site teams.
- Contribute to project closeout and other tasks as assigned.
What You’ll Bring
- Junior or senior standing in a Bachelor’s program
- Passion for construction and eagerness to learn.
- Proficiency with Microsoft and Google Suites (Apple product knowledge is a plus).
- Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
Ability to collaborate effectively and take initiative. - Willingness to self-manage and follow through on projects.
What Will Set You Apart
- Construction Management, Construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering major(s).
- A spirit of curiosity, passion for learning, and a willingness to go the extra mile.
- Previous internship or hands-on construction experience.
- Familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam, or similar construction software.
- Demonstrated leadership in school, community, or work settings.

Compensation & Benefits
Hourly Salary: Starting at $22/hour (paid weekly).

Physical Demands & Work Environment
This is an in-person position, located at our office downtown Minneapolis, with most of your time spent in an office setting, collaborating with teammates and working on a computer. You’ll also visit active jobsites to stay connected with the work in the field. That may include walking on uneven ground, being outdoors in changing weather, or stepping into areas with dust or noise. The role involves typical office activities such as typing, writing, as well as sitting for stretches of time during meetings or travel. Occasionally, you may need to move light materials or equipment (up to about 20 pounds).
