Are you a creative and motivated student with a passion for community engagement, storytelling, and design? The Office of Community Partnerships (OCP) is seeking a Student Marketing & Communication Coordinator to help amplify the impact of university-community collaborations through strategic marketing and communications.
This position offers hands-on experience in:
- Community engagement and outreach
- Interviewing and storytelling
- Digital marketing and communications
Position Overview
As a Marketing & Communication Coordinator, you will support OCP’s efforts to increase public awareness of its programs and partnerships. You’ll gain valuable skills in content creation, digital strategy, and storytelling within a higher education setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Marketing Materials: Design and publish promotional materials for OCP’s signature programs, events, and campaigns using Canva.
- Storytelling: Research and interview faculty and community partners to write original feature stories that highlight community engagement projects, research, and initiatives.
- Digital communications & marketing: Strategically manage OCP’s presence across social media and email platforms --including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and MailChimp.
Hours, location, and wage
This position is for 5 – 12 hours per week for up to three quarters. Remote work available up to 50% of time. At least one day working in the OCP office per week. $19.00 p/hour
