UPS Freight Forwarding Network Redesign Intern

The main responsibility for this position will be to manage a project geared towards the improvement of existing network flows for Freight Forwarding volume. The key responsibilities will be to analyze network lanes which have repeated capacity issues and explore options on moving this volume using additional options within or outside of our existing network. This position will also be responsible for creating and delivering presentations to the upper management regarding their recommendations. Candidate is expected to have advanced excel and analytical skills as they will be working with large amounts of data. This position will occasionally require work on weekends due to the needs of the business.

Each intern will work with one of our Region Supervisors. The facility that the internship will take place in is at the Americas Region office. This means that we have responsibility for Canada, Mexico, PR, Central and South America- our Supervisors have Supervisors in other countries which indirectly report to them.
