Guest Services Sales Agent

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Guest Services team at Arapahoe Basin is committed to providing excellent customer service to provide a day worth repeating to every guest we interact with.

 

As a Guest Services Sales Agent & Gate Monitor at Arapahoe Basin, you will participate in all point-of-sale and guest-related operations within the Guest Services Building, Ticket and Season Pass Offices, Winter Sports Building, Outdoor Ticket kiosk, and Lift Monitoring Gates. This role is the “face” of Arapahoe Basin and will handle all types of guest concerns in a friendly and efficient manner.

WAGE:

The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of Arapahoe Basin’s hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, and responsibilities. The range listed is just one component of Arapahoe Basin’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include many region-specific benefits.

 

Guest Service Sales Agents are eligible for a staging program that relates to applicable pay based on experience. See below for specific details.

 

Hourly pay range:   $20.00 - $22.00/hour

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Provides excellent customer service to all A-Basin guests to provide “a day worth repeating.”

Knows general A-Basin facts, terrain status, event information and all products for sale.

 Answers all employee and guest questions regarding all aspects of Guest Services and Arapahoe Basin.

Will use a point of sales application to sell varies products such as lift tickets & season passes.    

Responsible for monitoring outdoor lift ticket fulfillment kiosk; greet and assist guests in the use of the kiosk.

Will work outdoors, monitoring scanning gates at Black Mountain Express, Palavicini, and Lenawee Lifts (Lenawee is optional if applicant does not ski or ride).

Helps facilitate storage, tracking, and distribution of lost & found items.

Responsible for adhering to Guest Services Cash Handling procedures.

Responsible for closing individual point of sale, including the reconciliation of a cash drawer and providing audit backup at the end of each shift.

Keep work stations clean and organized.

Stock office supplies and maintain all office equipment.

Promote the Arapahoe Basin Vibe.

Other duties as assigned.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Previous experience working in guest guest-facing role

Demonstrates interpersonal and guest service skills

Ability to multi-task in a fluid, high-energy guest service environment

Great attention to detail

Excellent communication and organizational skills

Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.

Punctual, able to report at scheduled start time

Work well individually and as part of a team.

Must be available on weekends and holidays.

This position requires successful completion of a background check.

 

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

High School Diploma or equivalent – Required

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to sit or stand for long periods

Must have the dexterity and the ability to use both hands.

Ability to withstand high-altitude conditions at all times.

Ability to use a full range of body motion: bend, twist, kneel, pull, push, and lift up to 50 lbs.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

You will work both indoors and outdoors in a high-altitude environment. A high-alpine cold and snowy environment is possible on any given day. Most work is performed in a highly trafficked area in view of guests. A very frequent amount of high-volume guest interaction is involved in this role. Riding a chairlift may be required.
