Healthcare Associate I – Entry-Level Support

About the Role
The Healthcare Associate I position is an entry-level opportunity designed for individuals with a high school diploma or associate degree beginning their careers in healthcare administration and operations. You will provide foundational support in patient services, data management, and compliance tasks for our licensed home health agency in Washington, DC. This role is ideal for graduates who want to gain hands-on experience in healthcare delivery while building skills in technology and data analytics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Patient Services Support
    • Assist with client intake, scheduling, and service coordination.
    • Maintain accurate and timely records in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
    • Support communication between families, caregivers, and clinical teams
  • Data & Records Management
    • Input and validate data to ensure compliance with DC Department of Health and federal requirements.
    • Assist with the preparation of reports, logs, and quality metrics
    • Support administrators with audits and compliance documentation
  • Operational Support
    • Perform clerical and organizational tasks to ensure smooth office operations
    • Participate in quality improvement initiatives under supervision
    • Collaborate with team members to improve workflows using technology

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Associate’s degree in healthcare administration, Public Health, Health Informatics, or healthcare related field
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Comfort with data entry and digital platforms (EHR, scheduling systems, MS Office, etc.)
  • Interest in healthcare operations and growth into advanced roles

Healthcare Associate I is the first step in the Associate track, with advancement opportunities to Healthcare Associate II upon further education/experience.
