
COO Shadow Intern
Intern – COO Shadow Program
Location: Dallas, TX (On-site only)
We are seeking a highly motivated intern to shadow and support the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of a leading restaurant consulting company. This company is responsible for managing operations for the city’s oldest catering company and largest megachurch, offering a unique opportunity to gain hands-on executive-level experience.
This role is designed to give you direct exposure to the day-to-day responsibilities of a COO, including operational oversight, staff management, financial planning, vendor relations, marketing coordination, compliance, and strategic execution.
Responsibilities
Under the direct mentorship of the COO, you will:
Observe and learn all aspects of business operations and strategy.
Assist with scheduling, communications, and project management.
Support HR functions including hiring, training, and team management.
Help oversee vendor contracts, purchasing, and inventory control.
Contribute to financial tracking, budgeting, and reporting.
Participate in client relations, event management, and service execution.
Learn compliance requirements and assist with process documentation.
Take on delegated operational tasks to begin freeing up the COO’s schedule.
Qualifications
Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Hospitality, Management, or related field.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to adapt quickly, solve problems, and think critically.
Eagerness to learn directly from senior leadership.
Must be located in the Dallas area – this is not a remote position.
Growth Path
This internship is designed as a progressive learning opportunity:
Part-time basis to start (shadowing and supporting).
Gradually take on independent responsibilities.
Potential to transition into a full-time operations role.
