Full Stack Developer Internship (Equity-Based | Unpaid)

About ModoScript ModoScript is redefining real-time remote treatment monitoring for oral specialty therapeutics and clinical trials. Our patented system includes the first reusable locked-dispensing cap with fingerprint + vital sign capturing sensors, such that it collects the patient's vitals as the medication dosage is dispensed. A built-in screen delivers custom multilingual visual and vocal instructions to support adherence, prevent misuse, and enhance patient engagement.

Our mobile app integrates data from wearables and includes tools like an AI-powered clinical trial finder, mental health coach, and remote health assessments for continuous monitoring. Our provider dashboard offers real-time treatment progress insights at the micro and macro levels to more accurately assess oral specialty medication and treatment efficiency at-home for patients diagnosed with cancer, and neurological conditions (i.e. dementia).

To date, ModoScript has:

  • Raised $1M in angel funding from leading investors like Adam Weitsman, billionare with over 20-million social media followers, and Arben Ventures, led by the Director of the Stanford University Healthcare Innovation Lab.
  • Filed key IP.
  • Built a functional alpha prototype including device, mobile app, and dashboard.
  • Secured key partnerships in the clinical research, specialty pharmacy, and oncology sector.
  • Is actively raising a new round of funding from which we already have soft committments, contingent on ability to complete next generation of mobile app, dashboard, and real-time health data sharing capabilities.
  • A team of industry leaders on board who can provide advisory support as needed, including the former General Manager, VP of Engineering at Bayer Diagnostics.
  • Taken part of top accelerator programs like McKinsey Fuel Ignition, Masschallenge, and PharmStars, among others.
  • Received interest from top companies like CVS Health, Boehringer Ingelheim, the National Community Oncology Dispensing Association. among others.
  • Role Description We are seeking a Full Stack Engineer passionate about health tech innovation. You will play a critical role in building and scaling the front-end and back-end components of ModoScript’s medtech SaaS platform and digital interfaces as part of launching focus groups and pilot studies with top organizations as part of closing current financing round.

This is an unpaid internship role where you have the opportunity to work with C-Suite level executives, with the prospect to evolve into an equity + salary role if you meet the expectations. A permanent role offer + compensation will be revisited upon the close of our current funding round.

Responsibilities: Build and maintain web applications (front-end and back-end) Support further integration with our hardware, mobile app, and dashboard Optimize user experience for both patients and healthcare providers Collaborate on data analytics, visualization, and AI integration features

Qualifications Strong full-stack web development experience Proficiency in front-end tech (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, etc.) Back-end expertise (Node.js, Python, or similar) Experience working with APIs, databases (SQL/NoSQL), and cloud services Self-starter ambitious with strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset Bachelor's in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience) Passion for digital health, medtech, or social impact startups a plus, I look forward to reviewing your application.
