Research Associate Program
The Research Associate Program engages Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) freelance writers and researchers to produce policy and research materials on affordable housing, community development, and housing insecurity in Connecticut. This opportunity offers the benefit of both competitive compensation ($25/hour) and opportunities to publish and present independent research.
What Types of Content Do Research Associates Produce?
Research Associates (RAs) produce original research and writing that furthers the Partnership’s mission to expand housing opportunities in Connecticut. Some examples of research content include:
- An original research report on the impact of housing instability on educational success.
- A fact sheet with policy proposals for improving the health of public housing residents.
- A first-person essay on the writer’s personal experience with housing instability.
- A GIS map and accompanying analysis exploring the intersection between housing and public policy.
