Public Relations & Partnerships Intern

About the Role:
As a Public Relations & Partnerships Intern, you’ll play a hands-on role in growing Lace Layer’s community of stylists, press contacts, and brand partners. You’ll work on building relationships that increase brand visibility and create opportunities for Lace Layer to connect with new audiences. This role is perfect for students interested in communications, PR, influencer marketing, and brand outreach.

Responsibilities:

Research and contact hairstylists, salons, influencers, and beauty professionals to introduce them to Lace Layer products.

Pitch Lace Layer products to stylists and influencers, coordinating the sending of product samples and tracking follow-ups.

Maintain and update an outreach tracker/CRM with details of calls, emails, social media outreach, and next steps.

Research journalists, bloggers, and podcasts covering beauty, wigs, Black-owned businesses, or entrepreneurship to identify PR opportunities.

Assist in drafting and sending press and outreach emails using provided scripts.

Support outreach for speaking opportunities, events, and partnerships related to haircare, alopecia awareness, and Black women in business.

Self-starter who is proactive in finding and engaging potential contacts.
