E-commerce Copywriting Intern

E-commerce Copywriting Intern

Location: Remote

About Access Display Group

Access Display Group is a manufacturer and marketer of display and signage products. We're looking for a passionate and creative E-commerce Copywriting Intern to join our team and help us improve our online presence. This is a great opportunity to gain practical experience writing engaging and informative descriptions for our leading e-commerce websites, Displays4Sale and Displayframes.

Our small, collaborative remote team values creativity and new ideas. You'll have the flexibility to manage your schedule while being a core part of our team's success.

What You'll Do

You'll be a key player in elevating the content on our websites, crafting compelling descriptions that inform and engage our customers. Your primary focus will be on creating high-quality, persuasive copy, but you'll also gain valuable exposure to online product management on platforms like Shopify.

Write and Refine: Develop and edit engaging product descriptions, category pages, and other web content that capture attention and drive sales.

Innovate with SEO: Learn and apply basic SEO principles to your writing, helping our products rank higher in search results and attract more customers.

Manage Product Content: Work with our team to accurately input product information and upload new products to our e-commerce platforms.

Collaborate: Work closely with our team on projects, sharing ideas and getting feedback to produce the best results.

Who We're Looking For

  • We're seeking a proactive, detail-oriented individual eager to learn and contribute.
  • You are a Marketing, Communications, English, or related program student. Students in other majors with a strong, demonstrable writing portfolio are also encouraged to apply.
  • You have excellent writing, editing, and grammar skills with a sharp eye for detail.
  • You have an interest in e-commerce and digital marketing.
  • You have excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills, and are comfortable working independently.
  • You are a quick learner with a positive attitude.
  • Familiarity with SEO principles is a bonus, but not necessary—we will provide you with the necessary tools and training.

Why This is a Great Opportunity

  • This is more than just an internship—it's a chance to build real-world skills and an impressive portfolio.
  • Build a Portfolio that Sells: Work on real-world projects that showcase your ability to write compelling copy. The descriptions you create will have a tangible impact on a growing business, helping you build a portfolio that stands out to future employers.
  • Gain Practical E-commerce Experience: Learn the complexities of e-commerce and how persuasive copywriting directly influences customer behavior and sales. You'll get hands-on experience in a B2B/B2C environment, which is highly valuable in today's job market.
  • Master In-Demand Skills: Develop your writing and editing skills while learning the fundamentals of search engine optimization (SEO) and online content management. These critical skills will make you a highly sought-after candidate for a wide range of marketing and content roles.
  • Flexibility: This is a remote, part-time internship with flexible hours that can be adjusted to fit your schedule (up to 30 hours per week), with the potential to increase to 40 hours depending on your availability and our project needs.
