Product Marketing Specialist

The Product Marketing Specialist supports the development and execution of marketing initiatives. This role is responsible for the development and execution of comprehensive go-to-market strategies which ensure alignment with organizational objectives and market dynamics.  They act as the primary bridge between product management, creative, and sales teams, supporting efforts to position products for maximum success. This individual is accountable for fostering cross-functional collaboration, maintaining a customer-focused approach and supporting innovative marketing strategies to achieve sustained business growth.

So, What’s the Gig? 

  • Develops high-level go-to-market strategies, including product positioning, messaging, competitive differentiation, tactical launch plans, and strategic asset creation.
  • Collaborates closely with product management to deeply understand product roadmaps, launch schedules, competitive landscapes, and customer needs, ensuring these insights inform strategic marketing initiatives.
  • Contributes to the creation of comprehensive marketing and sales enablement collateral, including white papers, case studies, digital campaigns, and training modules, to support organizational goals.
  • Develops and champions an annual product marketing plan aligned with business priorities, serving as the primary point of accountability for implementation and optimization.
  • Builds and sustains feedback loops across internal departments (Product Management, Creative, Sales, and Customer Experience) to continuously refine marketing strategies based on data and VOC insights.
  • Supports strategic marketing innovation, helping to identify emerging market trends and creative approaches to engage target audiences effectively.
  • Ensures high-level brand alignment, overseeing the consistent application of brand voice, design standards, and messaging across all channels and touchpoints.
  • Represents marketing leadership in cross-departmental initiatives, influencing key business decisions and advocating for customer-centric strategies.
  • Collaborate with creative and digital teams to script, storyboard and produce compelling video, social and educational content
  • Serve as an on-camera subject matter expert in product demonstration videos, promotional campaigns and training modules.

What We’re Looking For: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, journalism/communications or related degree 
  • 2-4 years’ experience in marketing or related field with an emphasis on consumer durable goods preferred
  • Proven track record of leading marketing initiatives, driving cross-functional collaboration, and delivering measurable results.

Other Skills and Abilities We’re Looking For: 

  • A customer-focused mindset with the ability to collect Voice of the Customer (VOC) feedback and translate insights into actionable marketing strategies.
  • Experience with creating scalable marketing processes and systems to streamline execution.
  • Foundational knowledge of attribution techniques and data analysis for strategic decision-making.
  • Good leadership presence, with the ability to inspire and influence cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify new business opportunities through market and competitive research.
  • Experience with high-impact product launches in global or highly competitive markets.
  • Familiarity with customer journey mapping and lifecycle marketing strategies.
  • Woodworking and DIY expertise preferred.
