Position Summary
Granada Islamic School seeks an enthusiastic and creative Marketing & Fundraising Associate to join our Advancement team. This entry-level role offers a unique opportunity to grow your career in nonprofit marketing, fundraising, and communications while directly engaging with our school community.
The Marketing & Fundraising Associate will support advancement efforts by implementing fundraising initiatives, creating engaging communications for donors and families, managing social media content, and coordinating newsletters and events. This role is ideal for someone passionate about Islamic education and excited to share the stories that make our school special.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and executing fundraising campaigns, including annual giving, Ramadan/Eid campaigns, scholarship funds, GivingTuesday, and other special events.
- Plan, organize, and execute signature fundraising events such as annual/semi-annual banquets.
- Create and schedule engaging social media content to promote school activities, fundraising goals, and community engagement.
- Maintain donor records and mailing lists using the school CRM or fundraising software.
- Draft and design monthly e-newsletters and donor communications (thank-you notes, campaign updates, impact stories)
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to capture stories, photos, and updates from classrooms and school events.
- Support the planning and promotion of alumni and parent engagement events.
- Monitor and analyze digital campaign performance; recommend improvements for outreach and engagement.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (Marketing emphasis), Communications, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of marketing, fundraising, or communications experience (internships/volunteer work considered).
- Proficiency with graphic design and digital tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Mailchimp/Constant Contact, or similar).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
- Familiarity with social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn) and targeted demographic strategies.
- Organized, enthusiastic, and eager to contribute to a collaborative team environment.

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $65,000 – $75,000/year, commensurate with experience.
