We offer consulting services for evaluating or expanding existing facilities, new “Greenfield” developments or bringing existing facilities into regulatory compliance. Our Engineering Services include: Site Planning, Topographic Surveys, Soil investigations, Waste Storage & Transfer System Designs, Sand Separation Systems, Feed Storage Areas, Leachate Collection & Runoff Treatment Systems, Assured Wetland Delineations, WPDES Permit Writing and Permit Compliance, Livestock Siting, Stormwater plans. Our Business Services include: Business Plans, Cash Flow Analysis, Cost of Production Analysis, Grant Writing (including Comprehensive Nutrient Management Plans (CNMPs).
Summer Intern Job Description:
The summer intern position will report to the Professional Engineer and/or Wetland Delineator and will assist environmental scientists, engineers, and other employees at Roach and Associates, LLC. Specific work schedules determined weekly. Some days will be completely outside in the field, while some may be in the office.

Example Tasks that may be expected:
- Professional Engineer Assistant
- Completing Engineering tasks under direct supervision of a design engineer.
- Drafting construction documentation in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Performing calculations as required to provide support of design decisions.
- Inspecting the construction of designed structures and documenting construction activities.
- Performing site investigation tasks as required under the direction of engineer.
- Evaluating a design against the requirements of specific design standards and/or suggesting improvements or revisions.
- Drafting or revising engineering documents as required.
- Wetland Delineations
- Accompany wetland delineator during field investigations in a capacity to provide support.
- Lift and carry equipment and tools during field visits while navigating unimproved wetland terrain.
- Record notes and fill out wetland forms dictated by the wetland delineator while in the field, either via pencil and paper or in excel on a Surface Pro.
- Clean up notes and forms in electronic copy back at the office.
- Help dig wetland test holes with a hand auger.
- General Field Work
- Help as needed on farm/ job sites
- Record notes and fill out appropriate forms/logs for the project coordinator in the field
- General Office work
- Filling our reports
- Transferring logs or reports from written copies to electronic copies
- Other organizational tasks as needed.
- Other tasks as requested by supervisor(s).
The summer intern must be comfortable working outside during summer weather conditions. The summer intern must be willing to sign and abide by an agreement that any photographs taken while working for Roach & Associates are the property of Roach & Associates and cannot be shared outside of the workplace, including social media, text, email, etc. without prior consent.
