AI Automation Engineer

We have an exciting opportunity for a seasoned AI Automation Engineer I to join our team on a long-term federal project.

Job Responsibilities

Some high-level duties include but are not limited to:

  • Evaluate emerging technologies—including AI/ML platforms and Low-Code/No-Code automation solutions (e.g., Appian, UiPath, Pega) by mapping technical capabilities to business needs and performing feasibility analyses.
  • Apply modern engineering workflows such as feature branches, pull requests, and automated CI/CD pipelines to ensure efficient and high-quality software delivery.
  • Contribute to the modernization and operation of mission-critical systems by engaging in cloud computing initiatives, proof-of-concept software development, code reviews, and ongoing system support. `
  • Participate with multiple teams to maintain and modernize existing technology, incorporating customer feedback into iterative system improvements.
  • Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary enterprise engineering team, including DevOps engineers, UX designers, business analysts, QA engineers, and software engineers, to deliver secure and scalable solutions.
  • Conduct and support security assessments leveraging frameworks such as NIST 800-53, FISMA, and FedRAMP, and demonstrate experience working with enterprise security tools (e.g., SolarWinds).
  • Maintain and update critical documentation such as Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTMs), System Design Documents (SDDs), and business process models, utilizing tools like JIRA, Confluence, and Visio.
  • Provide ongoing support for enterprise products and users, ensuring system security, resilience, and availability.
  • Undertake special projects as required

 

Required Skills

  • Expertise in .NET, C#, SQL Server, and related technologies.
  • Experience using enterprise security tools (e.g. SolarWinds).
  • Knowledge of frameworks such as NIST 800-53, FISMA, and FedRAMP.
  • Experience using tools e.g. JIRA, Confluence, and Visio.
  • Expertise in using Low-Code/No-Code automation solutions (e.g., Pega, UiPath).
  • Strong planning and organizing skills and are a team player.
  • Ability to prioritize and work effectively towards deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team; ability to take initiative with minimal direction and to solve problems.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Flexibility and multiple task adaptability.
  • Ability to interact with a variety of individuals in a courteous and professional manner.

 

Experience/Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Expertise in .NET, C#, SQL Server, and related technologies.
  • Preferred Certifications: Certifications such as AI or Appian/Pega/UiPath Developer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect.

Education

  • Position requires BS/BA degree in Computer Science or a STEM discipline from an accredited university with 5 years of experience OR a MS/MA degree in STEM discipline with 3 years of experience.
