Program Overview
Rockefeller Capital Management offers a distinctive Summer Analyst Program experience as a premier independent financial advisory firm. Our diversified businesses, boutique size, and entrepreneurial culture shape a dynamic, personalized experience for our Analysts.
Our Summer Analyst program is a ten-week (June-August) internship program designed to provide an opportunity to experience the culture and atmosphere of Rockefeller Capital Management. Summer Analysts will be fully immersed in the day-to-day activities of the business providing opportunities to learn, grow, and excel.

Eligibility and Selection Criteria
To be eligible for consideration, students must be projected 2027 graduates and in good standing at the school. Analysts should have an interest in the financial services industry and be eager to learn and make an impact.
POSITION
As a UX Design Intern, this individual will be responsible for assisting in the design and development of user interfaces for our Advisor Desktop and Client Portal. This individual will work with various teams to understand user needs and collaborate closely with our Technology & Operations COO team and quality assurance (QA) teams to deliver intuitive and efficient design solutions. This role is pivotal in bringing business and technology together to deliver critical objectives for the firm.
Responsibilities
- Actively liaison with business partners to elicit information about current state and future state business processes and procedures.
- Break down business process into detailed business and systems requirements for technology projects and operational procedures
- Work with the UX team to deliver screens that are intuitive and efficient for end users.
- Manage and oversee project meetings with internal and external business stakeholders to produce action plans and milestone delivery schedules.
- Develop user stories and participate in grooming sessions with developers to finalize / refine feature requirements and designs.
Qualifications
- Interaction Design: Work iteratively with business and project management to develop effective interactive design solutions that meet requirements to enhance user satisfaction and promote ease of use. Focus on creating seamless and efficient user journeys.
- Wireframing and Prototyping: Working with BAs and business leads to creating detailed wireframes, prototypes, and mockups using Figma. Ensure designs are aligned with user needs as well as business goals in the form of written requirements.
- Visual Design: Apply visual design principles to create usable and cohesive user interfaces across various platforms for different user groups. Ensure consistency in design elements that adhere to design system and brand guidelines.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, business analysts and leads, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure a thorough understanding of requirements and the successful implementation of design solutions.
- Agile Methodology: Participate in Agile processes and contribute to sprint planning, daily stand-ups, demos and retrospectives. Adapt designs quickly based on feedback, changing requirements and business priorities.
- User Research: Be familiar with user research best practices to understand and validate user needs, behaviors, and pain points to update designs based upon user feedback.
- Design System & Documentation: Experience curating, updating and evolving (Figma-based) design system and style and development guides.
- Presentation Ability: Experience making effective, impactful and concise presentations to team members, stakeholders and executives.
- Voice of the User: Be an outspoken advocate for the team’s design decisions and the UX process. Be willing to push back against poor design direction and resist serving as a design “order taker.” And, most importantly, be willing to enthusiastically represent the “voice of the user” to teammates, partners and stakeholders.
